Templates library

  • The dashboard has a templates library with 5 prebuilt templates to start from. Pick one, adjust the wording and submit it for approval.
  • Send from an approved template with templateId and variables on POST /sms/send; free text must match an approved template, otherwise 403 template_required.

Coverage and country-neutral numbers

  • New endpoint GET /sms/coverage returns { country, allowed, live, comingSoon } for the calling key.
  • Numbers are handled in E.164. National format is still accepted for your workspace's country; to in lookups and webhooks is now always E.164.
  • New error 422 `destination_not_supported` with details: { country, allowed } for valid numbers in countries your workspace can't send to yet, distinct from 400 invalid_number.

  • The API base is now https://api.smsray.com/api/sms/v1 and the docs live at smsray.com/docs.

Developer docs

  • Go samples alongside cURL, Node.js, Python and PHP.
  • OpenAPI 3.1 and a Postman collection, generated from the docs.
  • Every docs page has a Print / PDF version.
